Sublocations
A sublocation is part of a location. It is displayed by location at the Manage Locations page. It is nested underneath its main "parent" location at the Manage Locations page grid. A sublocation typically identifies a part of the location where inventory is stored or held. In IntelliTrack, a sublocation is typically a specific location storage unit.
- When you create a sublocation for a location, the location is divided into specific areas.
- In order to add a sublocation, the site must allow sublocations.
- The sublocation setting is a Site option; see "Site Options" for more information.
- A sublocation resides within a "Location" and is added to a location at the Add Location form. A location may have an unlimited amount of sublocations.
- If the role of the logged-in user has the RFID Tracking featureThis feature enables integration with the RFID Listening Service. It is available in edit mode only. The RFID Reader Location column in the Manage Locations page grid and the RFID Reader Location drop down field in the Add/Edit Location form are also visible with the feature. An IntelliTrack location is mapped to an RFID Reader Location; this enables IntelliTrack to track the RFID READ EVENT (Inventory Move) from RLS. RFID must be on for the division when using the RFID Tracking feature., this sublocation may be mapped to an RFID Reader LocationRFID Listening Service (RLS) location that contains configured RFID Readers. When using RFID Tracking in IntelliTrack, the RFID Reader Location must be mapped to an IntelliTrack location. In order to map an RFID Reader Location to an IntelliTrack Location, the RFID setting must be ON for the division and role of the logged-in user must contain the RFID Tracking feature.; ; see "RLS Integration™" for more information.
- To view the sublocation list for a location, select the Expand icon to the left of the location.
Viewing the Sublocations Nested Grid
Select Manage > Locations to reach the Manage Locations page. When you open this page, the Site field is automatically set at the logged-in user's default site. If a location has a sublocation, the sublocation information is stored in a nested grid that is accessible from the location entry in the main page grid. To view the sublocation list, click the Expand iconto the left of the Location.
Adding Sublocations
A Sublocation is added from a location. This is called its parent location.
- Add a sublocation to a location from the Add Location form; see "Adding a Sublocation".
- In order to add a sublocation, the site that the location is in must allow sublocations; see "Site Options" for more information.
