Scan

The app offers various ways to scan your data:

• Form Level Scanning: scans multiple fields, for the entire form, from one barcode when you use barcode parsing rules. Available with the camera scanner or the device scanner when the cursor is not placed in any field. If the form contains a locked field value, the locked field value will remain as is.

• Field Level Scanning: scans at the field level; available from the camera scanner or the integrated device scanner. To separately scan each field, place the cursor inside the field before scanning the barcode.

Barcode Parsing

Important: Barcode parsing rules are set up in the web app.

Rules to parse the barcode for a given field are set up in the web app. They are set by division and are applied when a barcode is scanned. Go to the Barcode Parsing Rules page in our web app and select the Help link to view more information about setting up a barcode parsing rule for a field.

Note: Barcode parsing rules must be in place to use form level scanning.
