IntelliTrack for BigCommerce Inventory

The Plugin will maintain inventory in IntelliTrack and BigCommerce for the items originating in BigCommerce. Once the inventory is imported, you are able to adjust inventory as well as pick orders in IntelliTrack and send this information back to BigCommerce. Inventory is imported as part of the initial setup, see "IntelliTrack for BigCommerce Shopping Cart Configuration" for more information.

Inventory Notes

When you import BigCommerce inventory into IntelliTrack via the Plugin, the Plugin places the items in the Division-Site-Location and Unit of Measure (UOM) values specified in the plugin’s Basic Configuration tab. They may be viewed at the Inventory Data page in IntelliTrack. The BigCommerce products must be imported BEFORE the inventory is imported.

Once the inventory is imported it may be adjusted in IntelliTrack and the adjustments may be exported to BigCommerce via the Plugin.

Reconciling Inventory with End of Day Processing

The Plugin exports the inventory adjustments for the BigCommerce products in IntelliTrack to BigCommerce once a day.

Warning: After the inventory is imported into IntelliTrack, we recommend that you work with the inventory in IntelliTrack. Adjusting the inventory in BigCommerce will cause the inventory to become out-of-sync between IntelliTrack and BigCommerce.

To automatically reconcile the inventory once a day at a specified time, use the End of Day Processing Time field.

  1. In the Basic Configuration tab, mark the Last Auto Sync Completed On field checkbox.
  2. Mark the End of Day Processing Time checkbox and enter a time in the End of Day Processing Time field to export a snapshot of your inventory to BigCommerce.
  3. Press the Save Configuration button.
  4. At the time specified, the inventory count for each item is exported automatically based on the End of Day processing timer setting.
    1. When the End of Day processing is run, it retrieves the current inventory quantity for each item and sends it to BigCommerce.
    2. If the Stock decreased when order placed setting is used, it also subtracts from each item any unpicked quantity on open orders.
