Import Templates

The utility contains import templates for creating import specifications.

• Assets: Use the Assets import template as a basis for the asset import specification that you create.
• Items: Use the Items import template as a basis for the item import specification that you create.

Reaching the Import Templates

An import specification is created from an import template.

1. In the left pane, click the down arrow in the Import Templates folder tab to expand the import template options. The available import templates appear.
   1. Assets: import new asset items, assets, and asset inventory into IntelliTrack or update existing asset data in IntelliTrack.
   2. Items: import new items into IntelliTrack or update existing items in IntelliTrack.
   3. Inventory: import inventory into IntelliTrack; add an item to a location or adjust inventory in a location.

2. When you select an import template, the field selection pane to the right is populated with the fields that may be imported into the IntelliTrack application.
3. For example, click the Items import template.
4. The Field Selection pane is populated with the item fields that may be imported into the IntelliTrack application. For each field, the Name, Data Type, and Length is displayed.

Field Selections

The field selections in an import template are the fields available for import into IntelliTrack. The screen example below shows the Items import template and the field selections available in it. These fields may be contained in the import specification and the corresponding external data.
